Paws to Read summer reading theme from 2014: Library guests donated items to the SPCA and won Littlest Pet Shop toys donated by library staff members.
Kids read with Certified Therapy Dogs:
Library puppets and stuffed animals are shared with each child
while they wait to read with the dogs. Some met dogs for the very first
time, and parents told us that these programs helped their children overcome a fear of dogs. Other parents told us that their children on the autism spectrum especially benefitted from these events.
